В Запорожье немало красивых зданий, являющихся представителями различных направлений в архитектуре. Но, к сожалению, есть в нашем городе и постройки, которые никак нельзя назвать украшением улиц. Они совершенно не вписываются в архитектурную стилистику соседних построек, да и эстетическое удовольствие от их созерцания получить сложно.
Запорожский инструментальный завод был основан еще в 1879 году, но свою современную историю ему стоит вести скорее с 1958 года. Именно тогда производство перепрофилировали под разнообразные инструмент для металлообработки. В дальнейшем производство расширяли и развивали, и пройдя через кризис, завод дожил до наших дней.
И сегодня один из корпусов завода выглядит унылым пугалом на центральном проспекте города. “Творчество” эпохи советского промышленного строительства не выглядит ни привлекательным, ни сколько-нибудь интересным или своеобразным. Уродливый образец безвкусицы нисколько не изменился, и является отличным примером того, что с фантазией в советские годы не у всех архитекторов было хорошо.
В данном случае крайне сложно выделить какое-то отдельное здание. Все бараки когда-то давно строились как временное жилье, но благополучно пережили не только послевоенную разруху, но и этап развитого социализма, и уже готовы были увидеть коммунизм – но рухнул СССР. Впрочем, при капитализме эти здания тоже чувствуют себя неплохо.
Постепенно жильцов отсюда отселяют в новые квартиры, которые покупают за счет средств городского бюджета. Но эта история уже затянулась на десятилетия, и когда ей придет конец – неизвестно. Пока что в бараках, которые строили еще пленные немцы после войны, продолжают жить люди. Они делают в бараках ремонты, Вы можете увидеть тут кондиционеры и металлопластиковые окна. Существование такого жилищного фонда до сих пор – позор для всех городских властей Запорожья, как бывших, так и настоящих.
Если Вы когда-нибудь оказывались здесь, то могли видеть одноэтажные частные дома, похожие на сельские хаты. По виду, некоторым из домов больше 100 лет, и их давно пора снести. Но тут виноваты уже не городские власти, и даже не жадные инвесторы.
Еще в последние годы существования СССР планировалось снести все старые “халупы” на этом месте. По заведенному тогда порядку все жильцы получали квартиру взамен снесенного жилья. Это и привлекло нечистых на руку дельцов к этому району. Начались массовые попытки прописаться в одних и тех же домах, и если верить очевидцам, дело доходило до 2 квадратных метров на человека.
Естественно, что подобный “перебор” не прошел мимо бдительного ока контролирующих органов, и работы были приостановлены. А впоследствии СССР рухнул, и дармовые квартиры канули в Лету. Впрочем, проблема с пропиской массы людей никуда не делась, и именно поэтому данная земля до сих пор не выкуплена и не застроена.

Это здание построили еще в 1983 году. Его архитектурную форму и стиль можно охарактеризовать как бункер. При всем том, что с места расположения музея открывается неплохой вид на Днепр и плотину ДнепроГЭС, само здание выглядит совершенно непрезентабельно и убого.
Ничего общего эта постройка не имеет и с казацким прошлым, да и вообще со стариной. Честно говоря, больше всего она напоминает какой-то командный центр, который в основном расположен под землей, а сверху находится лишь самый первый этаж.
Что любопытно, планировалось даже выделение денег на реконструкцию здания. С этим (как часто бывает) в итоге не сложилось, но может быть, оно и к лучшему. Проект реконструкции тоже не сулил ничего хорошего. В итоге должна была получиться опять некая странная конструкция, больше напоминающая промышленное сооружение.
Этот памятник установили не так уж и давно, в 2012 году. Было заявлено, что это памятник пограничникам всех поколений, а его проект согласован с ветеранами погранслужбы.
Неизвестно, с кем его согласовывали и было ли это на самом деле, но получилось как-то “не очень”. Уродливый кусок гранита прямиком из Янцевского карьера с символикой канувшего в Лету КГБ СССР выглядит чужеродно и непрезентабельно. При этом первоначальный вид памятника предполагался совсем другим, в виде пограничного столба, стоящего над земным шаром. Конечно, на памятнике нет красной звезды с серпом и молотом, а также надписи «КГБ СССР», но явно видно, откуда «срисовали» идею знака.
Учитывая, что скоро в этом же сквере должен появиться памятник воинам АТО, то соседство будет мягко говоря, своеобразным. Возможно, стоило бы вернуться к изначальному варианту памятника.
На площади Фестивальной с советских времен находится большой фонтан. Построили его еще в 1985 году, и изначально он был цветомузыкальным. В 1995 году фонтан прошел реконструкцию, но постепенно все приходило в упадок и фонтан по итогу пришел в негодность. Главной проблемой стало состояние самого бассейна, через который вода протекает вниз. А там, внизу, как раз и находится помещение с двигателями для фонтана.
В свое время неоднократно заявляли о реконструкции фонтана. В частности, однажды фонтан обнесли забором, а реконструкция должна была осуществляться за деньги “смотрящего” Анисимова. Но вскоре звезда Анисимова закатилась, а реконструкция так и не началась. Все ограничилось тем, что фонтан оклеили пленкой с украинским орнаментом. Фонтан до сих пор ждет средств на реконструкцию, а пока что одна из центральных площадей Запорожья выглядит как после боев, если учесть и состояние плитки вокруг фонтана.
По улице Адмирала Нахимова, 6 располагается малосемейное общежитие завода “Днепроспецсталь”. Конечно, сейчас там живут уже не только семьи работников завода, но и обычные люди. Внешний вид дома никак нельзя назвать привлекательным. Конечно, советские 9-этажки далеко не образец зодчества, но конкретно эта “общага” является одной из самых уродливых в Запорожье.
Кроме всего прочего, ее еще можно назвать и своеобразной обителью порока. Вплотную к дому примыкает отель и стрип-клуб “Голый револьвер”. Почему хозяева выбрали именно это помещение – загадка, ведь оно находится несколько в стороне от центральных улиц и как раз неподалеку от управления патрульной полиции.

Краткая история этого памятника такова. Ранее на его месте находились два общественных туалета, построенные в рамках общего проекта строительства Соцгорода. Они пережили Вторую мировую войну и лихие 90-е, но пали жертвой реконструкции проспекта, который в ту пору еще носил имя Ленина.
В разное время между туалетами располагались разные объекты. Например, в свое время между “корпусами” восседал медведь. Но в 2002 году все снесли, и поставили памятник запорожской металлургии в виде стелы с кусочками продукции заводов.
Каких только прозвищ не удостоился этот монумент… “Клизма”, “Громоотвод”, “Памятник туалетам” – и это самые безобидные. Можно гарантировать, что не удастся найти ни одного жителя Запорожья, которому бы пришелся по душе этот монумент.
