Все запорожцы знают о самолете на бульваре Шевченко. Но мало кто помнит, что самолет первоначально был совсем другим. Кроме того, есть в Запорожье и другие места, в которых можно без проблем увидеть самолет в натуральную величину. Давайте вместе постараемся совершить виртуальную прогулку по этим местам, а заодно вспомним те самолеты, которые видели только старшие поколения запорожцев.
Наш сегодняшний экскурс мы начнем с самолета, который некогда стоял в Алюминиевой балке. Этот самолет отработал 20 лет в небе Советского Союза, и пришло его время отправиться на покой. Такие «приземления» отнюдь не были редкостью в советское время. Во многих городах тогда обустраивались детские кинозалы в различных авиалайнерах. Только в Запорожье таких было два: уже упомянутый Ил-18 из Алюминиевой балки и Ил-14, который располагался в Шевченковском районе.
Доставка самолета в парк была сопряжена с большими сложностями. Во-первых, требовался специальный тягач, но даже так затащить такую громадную железную птицу было непросто. Пришлось разобрать самолет и перевозить его в парк по частям. Уже потом, на месте, его собрали обратно. В собранном виде самолет играл роль детского кинозала, чаще всего тут показывали мультфильмы. Чуть позже самолет уже служил в качестве видеосалона, но недолго. Уже в 1988 году это место закрыли из-за повышенной пожарной опасности.
Словно в подтверждение этого запрета, в самолете действительно вспыхнул пожар в конце 1990-х годов. Скорее всего, это был поджог, потому что вскоре появились бравые ребята и быстренько распилили бывший лайнер на металл.

В октябре 1974 года по всей советской Украине отмечали важную дату – 30 лет со дня изгнания немецких оккупантов. Под это дело городские власти решили открыть мемориал, и посвятить его летчикам – благо, мемориала им в городе до этих пор не было. С идеей памятника «заморачиваться» не стали, под рукой оказался истребитель МиГ-19, использовавшийся для обучения пилотов, его и решили водрузить на постамент.
То, что этот самолет не имел совершенно никакого отношения к войне ни городских, ни партийных чиновников не волновало. Памятник был открыт под бравурные речи и пафосные статьи в запорожских газетах, посвященных подвигу летчиков, защищавших запорожское небо в 1941 и освобождавших его в 1943 году.
Начиная с 1980-х годов, ветеранское сообщество начинает своеобразную борьбу с памятником. Участники войны требуют заменить реактивный МиГ-19 на самолет, соответствующий временному периоду войны. Проблема была в том, что взять оригинальный самолет было неоткуда.

В 1990-м году усилия ветеранов-летчиков все же увенчались успехом. Самолет заменили на некоторое подобие истребителя «Лавочкин». Впрочем, он явно переделан из какого-то другого самолета, возможно из Як-18. Получилось как в песне «Я тебя слепила из того, что было». Самолет лишь отдаленно напоминает Ла-5 и Ла-7 времен войны.
Долгое время у этого «мутанта» была и совершенно дикая «песочная» камуфлированная окраска, которую тоже, естественно, в советских ВВС периода 1941-1945 годов не применяли. На данный момент прототип покрашен более-менее аутентично.
В отличие от предыдущих, это самолет иностранного производства. Делали эти машины в уже немуществующей Чехословакии. У себя на родине данная машина завоевала прозвище «летающей детской коляски», и неспроста – курсант делал самостоятельный вылет уже спустя 13 часов налета с инструктором.
Машина была действительно очень простой в управлении и идеально подходила для обучения пилотов. Ее по достоинству оценили и в СССР. Авиационный колледж, на территории которого располагается L-29, разумеется, имеет к самолетам самое прямое отношение. Когда еще функционировала система аэроклубов, то многие учащиеся занимались в том числе и на данном типе самолетов.
В свое время под Запорожьем располагался крупный учебный центр для начинающих летчиков. Там была сосредоточена большая масса различной авиатехники, были среди них и L-29.
Такой подзаголовок мы дадим потому, что все нижеперечисленные машины находятся рядом, на открытой площадке перед зданием музея Богуслаева. Визитеры могут осмотреть Як-18Т, Ан-2 и МиГ-15.
Первая в списке машина – учебно-тренировочный и легкий транспортный самолет. Что любопытно, производится в России до сих пор, несмотря на солидный возраст конструкции. Главным образом используется для обучения курсантов-летчиков.
Ан-2 гораздо более известен как «кукурузник». Широту использования данной машины сложно описать. Она служила и «летающей партой», и десантной площадкой, и в сельском хозяйстве… Если бы такого самолета не было, его стоило бы придумать. Немало потрудился Ан-2 и в роли воздушной маршрутки. Ведь в свое время малая авиация была очень распространена, и раньше можно было в некоторый райцентры нашей области не только доехать, но и долететь.

Миг-15, экспонирующийся в Запорожье, имеет собственное имя – «Маршал Судец», в честь Владимира Судца, выдающегося военного летчика времен СССР. Он в свое время был рабочим на заводе «Коммунар», а в 1943 уже командовал воздушной армией, которая вела бои над Запорожьем. Сами же истребители МиГ-15 хоть и послевоенной поры, но повоевать им все же пришлось – в Корее. Летали на них как местные, так и советские летчики. До сих по среди фанатов авиации не утихают споры о том, кто же победил в Корее – МиГ-15 или американский F-86 Sabre.
Все эти самолеты объединяет тот факт, что двигатели для них делали на заводе «Мотор-Сич» в нашем городе. Вообще, Запорожье сыграло огромную роль в авиадвигателестроении Советского Союза.
В районе запорожского аэропорта долгое время можно было увидеть большие транспортные самолеты белого цвета. Это Ил-76, которые в свое время служили в военно-транспортной авиации, а потом работали на разные частные фирмы. Постепенно все они были выведены из эксплуатации и исключены из списков. Долгое время они так и стояли под открытым небом, пока их не решено было разделать на металл.
В свое время в Запорожье стоял полк ПВО, вооруженный истребителями МиГ-25. В том числе и для их ремонта было создано специальное предприятие, ныне известное как МиГ-Ремонт. После распада СССР именно сюда попали МиГ-25 из разных авиаполков, оказавшихся на территории Украины. Все они долгое время находились на территории предприятия МиГ-Ремонт, постепенно разрушаясь.
Очень жаль, что ни МиГ-25, ни Ил-76 не удосужились чести быть использованными в качестве памятника в нашем городе. Ведь они могли бы стать действительно уникальным объектом. А именно таких «штучек» в Запорожье не так уж и много. Между тем на территории МиГ-Ремонта до сих пор стоят 7 истребителей МиГ-25, принадлежащих России. Но это уже совсем другая история…
