Слухи об этом событии ходили с прошлого месяца, и это, наконец, произошло. Мэр не пользуется популярностью среди большинства жителей города (но при этом, каким-то образом дважды выиграл выборы). Сегодня мы вместе вспомним приход Владимира Буряка к власти, что стало причиной нынешнего кризиса, а также что, возможно, помогло мэру принять решение о написании заявления «по собственному».
На момент выборов городского головы в 2015 году Владимир Буряк был не слишком известен. На тот момент он занимал пост главного инженера «Запорожстали» и всем, кто не имел отношения к этому заводу был совершенно незнаком. Тем не менее, масштабная поддержка со стороны бывших «регионалов» и запорожсталевских структур сделала свое дело.
Основным конкурентом Буряка во втором туре стал Николай Фролов, политик с большим стажем. Но именно его многолетняя «многовекторность» и отсутствие какого-либо внимания к проблемам на местах сыграли с ним злую шутку. Выборы Буряк выиграл безоговорочно.
Обещаний перед выборами было роздано очень много – и дорогами, и остановками транспорта обещали заняться, да и самим транспортом тоже. Сделано же было немного, а самая главная проблема Запорожья (мосты) оставалась по-прежнему нерешенной.
В 2019 году Буряк участвовал в парламентских выборах, а также активно способствовал продвижению местных кандидатов от «Оппозиционного блока». Но именно провальные результаты первого срока поспособствовали тому, что в парламент в итоге прошли кандидаты от пропрезидентской «Слуги народа», которых толком никто и не знал.
Выводы были сделаны, и в городе активизировались работы. Был реконструирован ряд городских улиц, закуплены новые автобусы и троллейбусы, начаты работы на городских пляжах. Правда, все это сопровождалось обвинениями в расхищении бюджетных средств. Тендеры разыгрывались среди близких к мэрии фирм, а суммы в сметах явно были завышены.
Тем не менее, на следующих выборах мэра Буряк снова одерживает победу. В этот раз его оппонентом выступал кандидат от «Слуги народа» Виталий Тишечко. Но он, во-первых, был плохо известен, да и с кандидатом от власти определились очень поздно. В итоге избирательную кампанию Тишечко провел слабо, результатом этого и стало поражение.

Тем не менее, на выборах в местные советы оппозиционные мэру партии набрали существенный процент голосов. Это и заложило мину замедленного действия под мэрское кресло. Конфликт мэра и городского совета достиг своего апогея в июне 2021 года.
Тогда Буряк своим распоряжением уволил с поста первого секретаря горсовета Анатолия Куртева. Тот с решением не согласился и подал в суд. В ответ на решение Буряка несколько фракций просто перестали посещать сессии горсовета. Таким образом, стало невозможно утверждать какие-либо решения, так как не было кворума.
Буряк даже отправил обращение в парламент. В нем он требовал распустить городской совет и провести новые выборы. Разумеется, ответа он не получил а горсовет распускать никто не стал. Куртев, кстати, суд в итоге выиграл.
19 августа в Запорожье узнали о том, что в мэрии проходят масштабные обыски. Правоохранители работали как в кабинете самого мэра, так и его подчиненных. Обыскивали даже их личные автомобили. Более того, обыски проходили даже в салоне красоты «Персона», хозяйкой которого является Наталья Зайченко. Злые языки поговаривают, что у Зайченко с Буряком в свое время были далеко не только рабочие отношения.
Уже на следующий день Владимир Буряк заявил о том, что на него оказывается чудовищное давление. Привел в пример случай с гибелью мэра Кривого Рога и сказал, что подобная тенденция наблюдается по всей Украине. Тем не менее, мэр Запорожья заявил, что «Буряк Запорожье бандитам не отдаст». Но, очевидно, обыски не прошли даром.

29 августа на сессии городского совета Буряк объявил о том, что решил сложить полномочия городского головы. Он объяснил это тем, что проблемы со здоровьем не оставляют другого выбора. Действительно, за последнее время мэр действительно несколько раз оказывался на больничном.
Тем не менее, слухи о возможном уходе Буряка с должности городского головы ходили уже неделю. То, что Буряк так резко поменял свое мнение насчет своих перспектив на посту мэра вызывает много вопросов. Возможно, проблемы со здоровьем действительно требуют большего внимания, не совместимого с исполнением обязанностей мэра. Но большинство жителей города сходятся на том, что скорее «сработали» масштабные обыски, и на мэра нашли неопровержимый компромат.
Пока что обязанности мэра будет исполнять Анатолий Куртев. Дата новых выборов не объявлена, но, очевидно, ее скоро назовут. Наверняка основным кандидатом будет выходец из структур «Метинвеста», но, возможно, в этот раз центральные власти приложат больше усилий, чтобы усадить в мэрское кресло «своего» человека.
