Поскольку Запорожье находится на берегу Днепра, мосты являются жизненно необходимым сооружением. Но при их сооружении в разное время применялись довольно оригинальные приемы, сделавшие мосты нашего города действительно уникальными. У каждого из них была своя судьба, давайте подробнее рассмотрим прошлое некоторых из мостов города.
Практически с самого начала существования Александровска был возведен небольшой мост через реку Мокрая Московка. В дальнейшем построили более серьезное сооружение, которое простояло вплоть до 1913 года.
В 1913 году понадобился новый мост. Все дело в том, что территория колонии Шенвизе вошла в состав города, и в связи с этим существенно увеличился поток транспорта между предприятиями колонии и основной частью города. Мост выстроили из железобетона, основная часть дорожного покрытия была из булыжника. По бокам находились тротуары для прохода пешеходов.
Этот мост пережил и гражданскую войну, и немецкую оккупацию. Во время боев за освобождение Запорожья удалось не допустить подрыва моста, и он уцелел. Единственное изменение, которое произошло за предвоенные годы – по мосту проложили трамвайные пути.
Уже после войны были начаты работы по реконструкции моста. По сути, рядом с существующим построили новый, но оба моста проходят вплотную друг к другу, и поэтому кажется, что это единое сооружение.
В середине 1960-х годов территорию вокруг моста облицевали плитами, оборудовали спуски к воде. С тех пор облик моста не менялся, остается он таким и сегодня.
Мост построили в 1908 году. До моста здесь находилась паромная переправа, но к началу XX века ее возможности оказались весьма ограниченными. Объемы перевозок требовали более удобного способа переправы через Днепр.
В то же время начали строить новую железнодорожную трассу. Она проходила и через Александровск, и пересекала Днепр именно возле нашего города. Вот в рамках строительства дороги и решено было построить будущий Кичкасский мост.
Работы были закончены в 1908 году. Руководил строительством инженер Василий Дмитриевич Лата. Мост получился рекордным: пролет над Днепром оказался длиной в 190 метров, и ничего похожего во всей Российской империи тех времен не было. По верхнему ярусу осуществлялось движение поездов, а нижний был открыт для автомобильного и гужевого транспорта, а также для пешеходов.
С началом Гражданской войны мост оказался в эпицентре боевых действий. В разное время его контролировали красные, белые и махновцы. Неоднократно центральный пролет моста подрывали, чтобы не дать противнику прорваться на другой берег. В ходе одного из боевых эпизодов на мост загнали эшелон, который обрушил часть моста и рухнул с ней в воду. Существуют рассказы, что это был поезд с ранеными или поезд с зерном. Но подводные исследования в наши дни показали, что это был скорее поезд с разнообразным снаряжением – так, на дне был найден мост от легкового автомобиля.
После завершения боевых действий мост был в кратчайшие сроки восстановлен и продолжал использоваться по назначению. Так продолжалось вплоть до начала строительства ДнепроГЭС.
В связи с созданием плотины, мост попадал под затопление. Кроме того, планировалось строить новые мосты через Днепр, и существование Кичкасского моста было признано бессмысленным. Его разобрали на запасные части и вывезли.
Возведение двух мостов (через Новый и Старый Днепр) было предусмотрено планом строительства плотины. Вначале построили железнодорожные пути, а уже потом началось возведение собственно мостов.
Автором проекта мостов был московский инженер Николай Стрелецкий. Именно он сделал все необходимые расчеты. Непосредственно работами на месте руководил инженер Константинов. Сталь для строительства мостов заказывали в Чехословакии. Специалисты из этой страны занимались возведением моста через Старый Днепр, советские же рабочие занимались мостом через новое русло реки. Движение по мостам открыли в 1931 году.
Оба моста были двухъярусными. Как и в случае с Кичкасским мостом, верхний ярус предназначался для железнодорожного транспорта. На момент своего строительства мост через старое русло Днепра был самым большим однопролетным мостом в Европе.
Прослужили мосты недолго – всего 10 лет. С началом войны между Советским Союзом и Германией, мост стал иметь стратегическое значение. Когда гитлеровцам удалось приблизиться к Запорожью, мосты поначалу были ими захвачены. Но в ходе контрудара на короткое время советские войска вернули себе Хортицу, а заодно и контроль над мостами. При окончательном отступлении были взорваны оба моста.
В ходе оккупации города немцы частично восстановили мосты и использовали их в своих целях, в первую очередь – для движения железнодорожных составов военного назначения. Когда линия фронта вновь подошла к Запорожью, мосты неоднократно пытались уничтожить путем авианалетов.
К слову сказать, в большинстве источников можно прочитать историю о том, как ведущий группы штурмовиков гвардии лейтенант Усманов 21 сентября 1943 отвлек огонь средств ПВО на себя и ценой своей гибели обеспечил выполнение задания. Установить результаты налета на данный момент тяжело, но одно можно утверждать точно – Усманов не погиб 21 сентября, так как на него была составлена учетная карточка в немецком лагере военнопленных, датированная тем же числом.
Мосты были почти полностью разрушены в ходе боевых действий, их восстановление было признано невозможным, и вскоре началась работа по расчистке русла Днепра от остатков сооружений.
Требовалось срочно обеспечить движение транспорта через Днепр, поскольку война продолжалась и нужно было оперативно подвозить пополнения и ресурсы. Для выполнения этой задачи решено было построить временный деревянный мост.
Он прошел через южную часть острова Хортица, и вел к железнодорожной станции, носящей ныне название Запорожье-1. Вызывают удивление сроки выполнения работ: с момента начала строительства не прошло и двух месяцев, как объект был сдан.
Эти два деревянных моста (с правого берега на Хортицу, и с Хортицы на левый берег) отлично подтвердили поговорку о том, что нет ничего более постоянного, чем временное. Прослужили они 9 лет, вплоть до восстановления плотины ДнепроГЭС и сооружения новых постоянных мостов.
Сегодня о существовании временных мостов напоминают лишь сохранившиеся кое-где насыпи да остатки опор.
Новые мосты через Днепр стали возводить начиная с 1949 года. Руководителем проекта был инженер Борис Преображенский, потому мосты и получили его имя.
Главное отличие состояло прежде всего в том, что послевоенные мосты строили из железобетона. В стране был страшный дефицит необходимой стали, поэтому все время приходилось придумывать оригинальные технические решения. Закончить работы удалось в декабре 1952 года.
Мосты двухъярусные, по верхнему ярусу движутся поезда, по нижнему – остальной транспорт. Некоторое время по мосту ходил и троллейбус, позже контактную сеть демонтировали.
Автор проекта умер от инфаркта вскорости после завершения строительства. По утверждению современников, это произошло из-за того, что Сталин вычеркнул его имя из списка награжденных. Больное сердце инженера не выдержало сильного переживания, и он скончался.
На данный момент мосты Преображенского продолжают нести основную нагрузку по сообщению правобережной части Запорожья со старой частью города. Они давно нуждаются в полномасштабном ремонте, и ограничении транспортного потока.
Грузовики-”длинномеры” с трудом заезжают и выезжают с этих мостов, провоцируя аварийные ситуации. Да и качество дорожного покрытия оставляет желать лучшего. Как-то один из городских автобусов провалился колесом в большую яму. Каково будущее этих мостов – покажет время.
Уже в 1960-х стало понятно, что с расширением правобережной части города одного моста становится недостаточно. Поэтому решено было соединить Хортицу с правым берегом Днепра еще одним мостом.
Этот мост построили из стали за довольно короткое время: с 1970 по 1974 год. Части конструкции будущего моста изготавливали в соседнем Днепропетровске, а строили мост специалисты из того же Днепропетровска.
Обошелся новый мост недешево – стоимость превысила 3 миллиона рублей. После проверки моста под нагрузкой его сдали в эксплуатацию. В 2001-2003 годах проводились работы по реконструкции моста. Оказалось, что конструкции очень сильно изношены и состояние моста было признано аварийным. Реконструкция завершилась успешно. Но вот контактная сеть, демонтированная перед началом ремонта, назад уже не вернулась. Троллейбусное движение так и не восстановили.
В наши дни с Арочного моста совершают прыжки с гибкой веревкой. Обычно пик таких развлечений приходится на летний период.
Первоначально строительство новых мостов через Днепр, в дополнение к мостам Преображенского, планировалось еще в последние годы существования СССР. Проект был одобрен в высших эшелонах власти, но местные эко-активисты организовали акции протеста против разрушения природы Хортицы. Тогда до дела так и не дошло.
Уже в годы независимости встал вопрос о том, что новые мосты Запорожью все-таки нужны. В августе 2004 года началось строительство мостов, окончить его планировалось в 2010 году. Но планы нарушил недостаток финансирования, экономический кризис и постепенный рост стоимости проекта.
Мосты превратились в один из самых известных долгостроев Украины. В период с 2015 по 2019 строительство периодически возобновлялось, но до завершения работ было далеко.
Дело сдвинулось с мертвой точки, когда в Украине стартовала программа “Велике будівництво” под патронатом президента Зеленского. Первую очередь строительства – мост с Бабурки на Хортицу сдали в декабре 2020 года. В нынешнем, 2021 году ведется сооружение второй очереди – вантового моста с Хортицы на левобережную часть города.
На данный момент схема движения через Хортицу следующая: с Бабурки на Хортицу можно попасть только по новому, балочному мосту. С Хортицы на Бабурку движение осуществляется по старому мосту Преображенского. Движение же с Хортицы на левый берег и обратно осуществляется пока что по старому мосту Преображенского.
